TRETHEVY MILL

Be at peace and
See a clear
Pattern running
Through all your lives.
Nothing is by chance.
Eileen Cady

Modern feet treading
ancient coastal path...

Stepping carefully
near crumbling cliff edge...

Veering off now
into Rocky Valley...

To follow winding river
against it's flow...

Sensing every step
bringing me closer
to the Sacred...

A shrine of the Old Gods...

With it's Celtic
Labyrinth carvings
(1400 - 1800 BC)...

Placing my own offering
in gratitude for the blessings
of this life.

I thought I chose to come here today,
but now I see
it was the call
of Destiny.

Thank you so much
for joining me
on this Sacred Pilgrimage.

Blessings and Peace
be with you all.

  1. Wow, so cool! The pics are even better when enlarged. Thanks for taking me on your pilgrimage.

There is something about the timing of this post. I've been sitting on a post of my own since the 14th of July and now know the reason. Seems we've both been lead by petroglyphs. Must be the attuning of Destiny.

(I'll put my post up as soon as I'm done making the rounds.)

    Peace!

    1. So grateful you could join me on this trip Gnome! Photos alone cannot fully capture the beauty and magic of this wonderful place.
      I adore Cornwall.

Can't wait to see your post. I will visit as soon as I'm done here.
      Destiny certainly is calling!! :)

  2. Thanks for sharing your poetic pilgrimage, dear Ygraine, from the coast, always following the water, to the Sacred place.
Yes, nothing is by chance and you followed the call of your destiny.
May I ask which offering did you place there...?
Gratitude is the memory of the heart.
    A hug.:)

    1. Thank you, too, for joining me, Dulcina. How I wish you could have been physically here with me, to feel the peaceful and nurturing atmosphere. It feels like coming home.
If only I lived nearby. I'd visit almost every day!

I had a satin ribbon but, sadly, forgot to bring it. So I'm rather ashamed to admit I had to leave a coin!
A bit crass, I know, but hopefully the Gods will forgive me!!

Hugs & Blessings for you too :)

  3. Great pictures Ygraine. Check out the face in the stone at the start of your video, what's that all about?

    1. Hi Austin,
So glad you liked the pictures.
I have to admit, I hadn't noticed the face in the stone until you pointed it out to me.
Perhaps it is the Mill's guardian.
      What do you think? :)

  5. Fascinating - particularly the celtic carvings. Wonderful narrative to take us with you. There is so much more to this post than at first seemed apparent.

    1. I don't know if you've ever visited this area Dave, but I find something I hadn't previously noticed every time I'm here.
It's almost as if it exists in many dimensions, and has a different message for each visitor.
It is truly a magical place for me :)

  9. Thank you, Rose.
I have a problem with it getting caught in things like supermarket trollies though. Can be quite embarassing!! :)

    1. Victoria, thank you so much.
Yes, it is a hauntingly beautiful place, and the labyrinth carvings are facinating. I wish you could see it for yourself. Photos can't really do it justice.
How I would love to live near here someday...:)
