DISTANT FRIENDS

A barren field, unsown, awaiting
shortening night, lengthening day.
Every breath is within me awaking
anticipation, wishing winter away.

I'll smile and wave as I pass by,
recording forever this fleeting instant,
as it passes between my camera and I
and is shared by every worm and ant

traversing with me this land today
in rural Sussex - so far apart
from distant friends, to whom I say:
you're in my thoughts...and in my heart!

  3. Oh how you touched my soul with your lovely words, my dear and distant friend. But somehow I feel that we are kindred spirits so near and yet so far from one another. I am very happy that I know of you even though we have never met.

Now with your short video, that I loved, BTW...I feel that I know you even more and this post made my morning brighter~

    1. Oh how I feel that closeness too, dear Jan!
It was that wonderful feeling of friendship that prompted me to write this...a sense of not needing to actually meet someone in order to know they will be a life-long treasured friend!
I added the short video clip because it was at that precise moment that I felt this powerful bond...and I am so happy you liked it.:)

Love & Hugs, my dear friend xoxoxo

    1. You have returned for a second time...I feel really honoured...truly.
Often, I find a lifeline here...find those who understand me, who are prepared to listen to my (sometimes crazy!) ramblings...and for that I am eternally grateful. Words just cannot express how grateful...
Oh please never stop blogging, dear Jan...I could never bear that.

  13. Boa tarde, manter as amizades e conserva-las no coração é um lindo sentimento, a video é excelente, o mesmo é valorizado pelo seu lindo sorriso e o acenar das mãos.
