FUSION

I studied his image
all evening,
every gesture,
each facial expression.

By bed time I believed
I knew him intimately:
had demystified his idiosyncrasies,
decoded his DNA.

Later, in dreams, I began
probing his psyche
for unconscious desires
akin to my own.

Then time stood still
and neither of us knew
if we were inside
or outside of the dreams - even
if they were dreams at all -
or some fantastical fusion
of Tantric destinies:
a touching of Souls
in rapturous unity
that I couldn't even begin
to find the words to express...
until now.

  1. Some moments are so intense, that they become tangled between reality and fantasy.

    1. Yes Ana, they really are, aren't they?
And words are so inadequate at describing those moments...

      Many thanks.:))

  3. There are times when two become one and hearts beat as one...it is their souls that keep them separated just enough so that when parting they can live on.

How beautiful and touching. My dear and lovely, friend...you write from your soul because you feel with your heart~

    Much Love & Many Hugs

A dream in a dream in reality, that is getting a bit sweaty and --

  5. Know what u mean, I think ... I dream vividly every time I sleep ... about ... ya ... things ... often, when I wake up, I break a sweat, and say to myself: O, no ... "I hope, this was just a dream" ... by now I educated myself enough to stop dreaming in the middle of my dream ... cuz it's better that way ... Love, cat.

    1. Really wish I could do that...you know, stop a dream when it becomes uncomfortable.
Trouble is...it is only the good ones that stop mid-way...the troubling ones just go on and on. So unfair, I say! :/
      Many thanks, Cat.

  7. Another lovely post, Ygraine, thank you! I have vivid dreams every single night and have been for quite a while now. I am not sure if it is a medication I am taking, but I don't mind the dreams, and I do remember them when I awaken. Some are strange, some creepy, some are inspiring and some just don't make any sense at all, but I feel blessed that I am able to remember my dreams because many cannot. In fact, many say they don't dream at all. In my view, they do dream, they just don't remember them (as in waking up at the appropriate stage of sleep).

    1. I appear to go through phases of remembering my dreams...sometimes for months...then I don't remember any at all for a while.
      Some, I wish I could forget...then others, I wish I could remember.
Seems I'm just impossible to please! lol

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with me, Linda. I find them so interesting.
You and I are alike in many ways.:)

    1. I have always been fascinated with vivid dreams like these, CiL...they seem to breach all the boundaries between reality and imagination.
Perhaps, someday, this parapsychologist will get around to devising an experiment that will tell us once and for all what is going on...;)

      Many thanks, my friend! :))
