AN ENDING

Wish I could unpick my life
like an unloved sweater
to the very last stitch
then let it fall
into nothingness
where
I could
no longer witness
such inhumanity...

In deepest empathy with all those affected by the latest terrorist atrocity in New York.

  1. I will never understand war, hatred and greed, dearest Ygraine. They, all three have been on this Earth since man came to be.
Beautifully written as always, dear friend~

    1. So sad...has to be a flaw in humanity, doesn't it?!
Those things I find SO abhorrent...yet feel totally helpless to rectify.
Thank you so much, dearest Jan...I always find sanctuary in your beautiful heart...:))

  2. A beautifully written tribute Ygraine. A news story that just sickens me, for so many reasons.

So much sadness in the world but we can't give in to the evil and darkness. In the big picture, goodness will prevail.

    1. Absolutely...hanging onto the goodness in life is all that keeps us sane as our world slips ever deeper into madness, isn't it?
Think I'm going to avoid watching the news programs on TV for a while...:/

Thank you so much, dearest Geraldine.:))

  3. I wonder. What we observe we have seen or studied or heard about before. Inhumanity was here before either of us had a life to unpick. Wish I could too.. Enjoyed, though, in a sad way..

    1. Yes, a truly sad fact of life though, isn't it?!
All these wars and terrorism...scare me.
Where is it all going to end?
I do try to hang on to the positive aspects of life...but sometimes it is just so hard...:/
      Many thanks, Anthony.

Just HAD to give my thoughts a voice when I heard of yet another atrocity.
Although, my words in this situation are painfully inadequate...:(
