ROBIN of SHERWOOD

Finally finished my painting! Yay!!! 🙋



My humble tribute to this fabulous TV series of the 1980's. Hope you like it!

    This is an incredibly gorgeous painting!!!
    I can see the love and the magick that is you in every stroke of the brush and the earth tones are perfect.

      I had been wanting to paint this for a couple of years, but hadn't the time...until now! Lol
      It will be up on my bedroom wall this evening, so I can lie in bed and imagine stepping into legend!! It will be my secret sanctuary from the woes of ordinary life!! Lol

    Ygraine,
    This good literature thief of ours. Robin Hood, the mythical English hero, this swashbuckling outlaw who stole from the nobility to give to the poor.
    The painting is beautiful!

      Doug, my friend...since childhood, the Robin Hood legend has captured my imagination, and I just had to attempt this painting. I needed a visual aspect of it on my wall!😉
      Another all time favourite is King Arthur...and I painted him too!

    Wow! I didn't know you are also a painter! You are full of talents☺ I really love that one, I have watched some show about Robin when I was a kid, but it was during '90s. Stay safe everyone ☺

      I'm not really a painter, it is just a hobby. This is the first time I've attempted a painting in quite a few years. It was great fun, and (at times) exasperating! Lol
      I have seen a few versions of the legend, but the 80's one with Michael Praed and Judi Trott is by far my favourite!😊

    I haven't seen that series. Or rather, I have seen a scene or two of it when I did not understand much English. love the painting, somehow it reminds me of our D&Dr games and makes me want to play it again.
