LOVE'S METONYMY

Now, time has come full circle
back to where we began - these words
unwritten, but spoken face-to-face.
Ah, such joy - truth is, last night I invaded

your aura in search of belonging,
my only bearings a juvenile obsession.
And, there, in imagination's furthest reaches
we touched - just for one mad, crazy instant.

It was the silence that provoked me -
and the absence of your physical warmth, as I lay curled
like a foetus, haunted by our shared history:
shrivelling here, cold as winter's frozen wasteland,

until daybreak...'til this...this torment
that defines my future in it's entirety took over.
And from the depths, what self-survival withheld
in compassion was brutally revealed.

For separation is our love's cruel metonymy,
and ours is this barren real world's
hollow persuits, that can neither comfort nor fulfill
the heart's endlessly brooding, desperate need.

    1. Dearest Baili...oh WOW...your kind words truly touch my Soul!
I often feel like I'm stumbling through life, just endlessly seeking meaning...then...suddenly...I have a precious glimpse of enlightenment. Hard to express, but I'm sure you know what I mean.
Every experience has a reason, I know...and it is sometimes only in hindsight that we understand it's significance. Gosh, life really is complex, isn't it??
Thank you once again, my dear Friend...for your kind words of support and understanding! :))

Sending you all my love & hugs xxxxxxx

    2. my precious Ygraine how grateful i am to my kind Lord that your heart finds the "light of peace and true happiness"

our whole life is like we are stepping ahead on stairs ,with each step we get near to the peak and view gets clearer
all we need to keep our inner eyes open to recognize what the view offer to our insight
so fortunate who achieve such height and touch the depth of that wisdom
they discover the whole journey of life was only ABOUT TO LEARN TO BE BETTER :)
i actually revisited you to say that I LOVED YOUR NEW PROFILE PHOTO SOOO MUCH :))))
IT FILLED MY HEART WITH UNKNOWN JOY FOR YOU MY FRIEND :)
stay blessed and beautiful as you are !
      hugs!

    3. Dearest Baili, I totally agree...life is all about learning to be a better person.
I want no part of these current trends that judge people on their skin colour, nationality, religion etc.
We are all the same beneath out outward appearances and faiths...just human beings, who should be concentrating more on being the best we can be, and less on trying to prove we are better than everyone else!
I have never understood that warped philosophy!
I can't tell you how grateful I am to have you as my friend. We both view the world and life in a similar way...and that is so precious to me!!😊😊

Oh I am so happy that you like my new profile picture...thank you so much!

Have a wonderful day, my beautiful friend!!

Lots of love and hugs ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  16. Huh? You are A motor racing fanatic? Nifty, and now I think back in time!
__ I recall years ago my uncle 'Bubsy' and I traveling to road race courses here in New England and elsewhere, and a Grand Prix or two. My British race car favorites were, Lotus, Aston Martin, Cooper, C and D Jags, and (then) some Formula 3 prototypes. Go, Stirling Moss!
__ Oops, I went off course! Smiles! _m
